It’s hot out, so let’s keep it simple: Make these 3 changes today, and see more activity on your LinkedIn page.

1. No cover image? You’re playing hide-and-seek… and losing. You are competing with a billion other profiles on LinkedIn. Without a banner, you show up lower in search results. 

   • Do This: Drag any bold graphic into the banner space. A city skyline, your fave meme, a motivational quote in neon—anything that says “I exist.”

   • Why It Works: Recruiters scroll faster than a TikTok feed. A banner says you’re not a bot.

   • Time? 30 seconds

2. Default URL? C’mon, Queen - Own It If your URL still looks like a ransom code (/in/john-doe-12345), you’re begging to be ignored.

   • Do This: Head to Settings → Edit public profile URL → Type your name (or niche title: /in/DataScienceDana).

   • Why It Works: It’s like choosing your superhero name. Pros notice; bots don’t.

   • Time? 30 seconds

3. Open-to-Work Settings on “Melt” Mode? Chill Out Your “Open to Work” should be hotter than your morning latte.

   • Do This: In “Career Interests,” toggle on “Recruiters only” and pick your remote location, SEPARATE from your on-site and hybrid locations. (“United States,” “Canada,” “United Kingdom”)

   • Why It Works: Recruiters filter by geography. If you’re too specific for remote roles, you vanish.

   • Time? 30 seconds
