Elevate Your Resume: Claim Your Unpaid Experience

Do you have significant, unpaid experience at a non-profit? If so, go ahead and list it under “Experience” on your resume. How to gauge if this is a good idea: If you can outline the impact you’ve made, the leadership you’ve undertaken, the results of your contributions - claim them and name them! Some people may say that unpaid experience should stay in your “volunteer” section of your resume. Sure, it could. But… why not elevate it? Demonstrate your abilities! Show off your awesomeness! You do YOU! Try it. Let me know what happens!
