If your job search has you second-guessing everything right now, you’re not alone. The world feels heavier than it used to, and that weight shows up as overthinking every move: what’s safe to say, what to leave out, how to be “strong” without being misunderstood, how to be yourself without getting penalized for it.
So here’s the invite:
Q1 Job Search Q&A (Live + Anonymous)
Thursday, Jan 15 at 11:00am CT
I’m hosting a live Q&A where you bring the real stuff, I give real answers, and you leave with next steps you can actually use. All attendees are anonymous.
At Get Her Hired, we welcome you here, fully. Your career should not depend on how well you assimilate, how “palatable” you seem, or how neatly your story fits a template. Representation matters. Opportunity should be equitable. Leadership should be human.
And if the spiral is getting loud, here’s what we can control:
We can ask questions. Out loud. With support. Before uncertainty wins.
Bring your questions from anywhere in the process, like:
What’s the ONE lane I’m picking right now so I stop being “open to anything” (aka forgettable) and start being a yes?
Be brutal: is my résumé selling impact… or is it a to-do list wearing a blazer?
How do I explain a layoff, pivot, gap, or non-linear path without groveling or acting like my life needs HR approval?
What do I say for networking when I hate networking and I’m not willing to cosplay as a “relationship-builder” on LinkedIn?
I’m getting interviews but not offers. What’s the hidden “no” I’m accidentally giving off in the room?
How do I use AI to move faster without sounding like a press release written by a robot who loves synergy?
How do I negotiate without speed-running myself into a pay cut because I got nervous and started over-explaining?
If it’s in your head, it belongs in the room.
Can’t be there live? Send your question ahead of time and I’ll answer it during the session. Yes, there will be a recording so you can watch later and take what you need. If you already know your question, hit reply and send it now.
Come with your questions. Leave with a plan.
You don’t need to do Q1 perfectly. You just need to stop guessing.
