Women. We need to talk.
We’re behind in too many areas we didn’t choose.
And AI is the next one.
And before anyone says, “I’ll learn it later”…
Later is how women get left out of power shifts.
AI isn’t a cute tool. It’s a career gatekeeper now.
It’s already showing up in:
who gets hired (and who gets quietly filtered out)
how performance is evaluated
how fast you’re “supposed” to produce
who gets seen as “strategic” vs. “support”
And here’s the part that should make you mental:
Generative AI learns from what exists online.
And online content has never been an equal playing field for who gets published, amplified, funded, quoted, or treated like the “expert.”
So if women aren’t building fluency now, we’re basically letting the future be trained on a past that didn’t exactly center us.
Also: men are still more likely to use AI at work. Which means they’re compounding speed + leverage while women are still debating whether it’s “cheating.”
No.
We’re not doing that.
We’re getting certified. We’re getting loud. We’re getting fluent.
We’re putting “AI” on the résumé and making it expensive to ignore us.
